Hi there— I’m Madelyn Labriola, one of the two Board Babes. We first got the idea to start this business this past year when teaching as a profession was not cutting it on it’s own. We were both in a transition era so we decided to dive into our passion project that is board making! I am native to the Fox Lake area in northern Illinois, but I have also lived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Fort Myers, Florida, Galway Ireland, and Lake Como Italy. Coming from an Italian family, eating and preparing meats and cheese has been something I have always done throughout my life, so it came as second nature when I started doing it for events and gatherings! Some of my hobbies include hiking or anything outdoors, going to the gym, going out with friends, traveling and exploring new places, listening to true crime podcasts, and cooking. A few of my interests are anything fall, Halloween, or horror related, and all things history.

Hey ya’ll! I’m Jessie Maloney, the other Board Babe in the partnership! I recently moved back to my hometown of Antioch, Illinois from Nashville, Tennessee after living and working there for the past few years. I have spent my whole career teaching SPED, and am now specializing in behaviors and coaching high school cheerleading when I am not making fun boards for amazing customers! I am a big fan of country music, anything pink, the cheer world, Irish dance, and my cat Lenny - who is my entire world. I would consider myself to be an appetizer connoisseur myself, as I have always had a passion for putting together complementing flavors, that are also pleasing to look at! Starting a business like this was always something I thought of doing, and now seemed like the perfect time to start since I was moving back home and rooming with Madelyn! Myself and Madelyn met working at a bar 11 years ago and the rest is history!
